I’m pretty young, I’m 19 just started collage a few months ago and right now I’m dating my boyfriend who is 18. I love him a lot and we have gone through many things together. We just celebrated our one year anniversary last week and it was a fiasco. Like we were supposed to celebrate by going ice skating and having a bit of fun but turns out he didn’t really have any money to finance the whole thing. He said that we should have gone home instead. I never felt so disappointed, because this is our one year anniversary and he couldn’t come through. So I paid, it’s cool I didn’t mind. Usually in our relationship I am the one who usually pays because I got two part time jobs. Back to the point, so i decided to pay. By the time we arrive to the place where were supposed to go ice skating he wanted to go back home. Mind you I already paid for everything and we had our skating shoes on. I felt pissed, because it felt like I was the only one that put in the effort of making sure that our anniversary would be great but it wasn’t that way. He apologised for what happened, and I said it was cool but I still have this ranging feeling inside. What am I supposed to do?

how to politely tell an acquaintance to stop trying to make really long conversations!!!! i am all for getting to know people! but some wouldn’t just stop texting for 2 – 3 hours continuously and it’s really draining!! how to approach the situation with respect and politeness rather than ghosting.

hey Fumi! so i met a guy online, he is from another city where it’s difficult for me to travel! I’m 18 and he is 21. i love the way he is open to communication, open minded but it’s mostly me initiating the conversation and telling him about my day, he does completely engage with the conversations & we often had deep ones, but he initiates conversations only when it’s been a very long time or i am upset with something he did. btw love your advices and the way you articulate your thoughts! ♡
